The second week of March was a busy one when it comes to
executive moves. Two of the most senior figures in the US
business and financial communities left their role (Gary Cohn,
chief economic adviser to President Trump) or were
possibly/probably retiring (Lloyd Blankfein, current chief
executive of Goldman Sachs).
Blankfein has since denied he was set to leave his job any
time soon, posting on his twitter account that this was the
Wall Street Journal's announcement, not his. 'I feel like Huck
Finn listening to his own eulogy,' he noted.
Cohn's departure, on the other hand, has set the rumour mill
going at full speed, with some even suggesting for a minute
